GINGER MIDGETT PHOTOGRAPHY
“You know there are moments such as these when time stands still..."
- Dorothea Lange

WELCOME!
Before you delve too far into the depths of my website, I thought I might tell you a little bit about myself and my career as a photographer...
I was born and raised in St. Charles, Missouri, and received my first camera right about when this picture was taken! I am sure I drove my mom crazy with my constant need for film and flashbulbs (yes, back then you needed both!). At that age it was just a fun hobby - I never imagined that it would turn into a career.
After high school, I headed south, and I attended the University of Central Florida. I studied Psychology and Fine Arts, and received a Bachelor's Degree in 1996. In 1997, I happened to meet another local photographer who asked for help with a wedding - I have been documenting life events ever since!
One of the aspects I love about photography is that every day is different. Even though I may shoot at the same venue or work with the same vendors, the people are always different, and that is what fuels my creativity. It is also an emotional celebration, and to be able to capture that emotion is something that I love to do. But most of all, I just really like people! I like meeting new people, watching people interact with each other, and I especially like photographing people. As I said earlier, everyone is different, and so it's as if I have a fresh blank canvas every time I take out my camera.
